Seven years married already. We very rarely celebrate special occasions, I am quite laid back about them. Having lined up the grandparents to take care of the kiddies, was wanting to plan a special night out for a fine dining experience. Found a few restaurants in the city, looked romantic and the food tasty, the downside being that they are also so expensive, and would require a long drive in traffic there and back. Well why couldn't I do that right here? A wonderful opportunity to get creative and I was surprised with how easy it was and how professional the results. Cue some music, candles, gourmet ingredients and we had a wonderful dinner. Then we had the whole night to relax, not being stuck in traffic.
Entrees - picked up my favourite things from the deli and popped them on Jatz
For Mains I chose Snapper and Salmon.. one marinated in soy sauce and brown sugar and the Snapper crumbed (our favourite way to eat fish).. quick and easy and fresh!
For dessert, the finest fruit on theme (red) that Woolies had to offer..
Don't forget the freshly juiced veges for drinks. Such a healthy meal.. better add some Lindt chocolates to counter that.
Add lots of candles, a tissue paper pom pom ball, some wedding piccie, plenty of red material and something from the garden.. I loooved doing this.. happy anniversary =)
